A playful, hands-on exploration of nature‑inspired printmaking.
This lively workshop invites students to dive into the colorful world of Gelli printing using found botanicals. Working with ferns, leaves, flowers, branches, and other natural ephemera, participants will experiment with layering, texture, and color to create expressive prints that celebrate the beauty of the natural world.
Using acrylic paints, printmaking tools, and flexible Gelli plates, students will learn how to build dynamic compositions, pull multiple variations, and explore the delightful unpredictability of monotype printing. Along the way, we’ll discuss color choices, mark‑making, and how to use plant materials to achieve crisp silhouettes, soft veils, and rich organic patterns.
By the end of the workshop, each participant will have a vibrant collection of prints that can be transformed into functional projects such as cards, bookmarks, collage elements, or small artworks ready for framing. No experience is necessary—just curiosity and a love of nature’s textures.
